HUNTER AUGERI, a senior in Multimedia, is currently studying abroad in Athens, Greece, where he is researching the architecture and urban planning of the city for his senior thesis.
Hunter’s Thesis:
“The image that is passed is a minor fraction of the city.” This quote, from Kevin Lynch’s “The Image of the City,” represents the ephemeral quality of walking through a city street that I wish to explore. Living in Athens, I must confront the history of the city and its impact on the modern Athenian. I will look at the ancient and the modern, and how the two coincide in the continuity and growth of an urban environment.
